Every year a very special guest is invited to the Isle of Man TT to ride the legendary lap of honour. For 2011 Arai has invited no one less than Michael Doohan to do the honours and Mick was enthusiast in accepting our invitation!

Michael Doohan is best known around the world as five times MotoGP World Champion 1994 to 1998, and holding four world records in 1997 for his outstanding racing achievements. Mick Doohan has been awarded many honours in his career from Order of Australia in 1996, to being placed in the Australian Sports Hall of Fame three times.

Limited Edition RX-7 GP Doohan TT replica
During his outstanding career, Doohan has always trusted on Arai helmets. His famous striped design has become an icon in helmet design. That is why Arai has asked Italian top designer Aldo Drudi to design a special RX-7 GP Doohan TT helmet for this special occasion.

The Drudi design looks back to Doohan’s design as used in the 1998 season, with the broad stripes. Instead however of the classic red, white and blue, the new Replica is finished in red, white and gray/black offering. The well-known TT logo replaces the Australian flag graphics on the lower side of the helmet.

The combination of the Isle of Man TT, Mick Doohan, Aldo Drudi and Arai is a sure recipe for pure helmet magic! The, fully functional, RX-7 GP Doohan TT replica will be available at Arai dealers in September this year.
